Statement of Faith | Overcoming Fear & Doubt with God — Semonna McNeil
What We Believe

Rooted in truth.
Grounded in Scripture.

Everything taught, shared, and created here flows from these convictions. We don't coach from personal opinion — we stand on the Word of God.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." — 2 Timothy 3:16–17

1

The Nature of God

I believe that there is one true God, eternally existing as the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19 · 2 Corinthians 13:14

I believe God is holy, righteous, just, loving, sovereign, and unchanging. Isaiah 6:3 · Malachi 3:6 · 1 John 4:8

I believe that God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and that all creation exists for His glory. Genesis 1:1 · Colossians 1:16–17

2

The Person & Work of Jesus Christ

I believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. John 1:1, 14 · Colossians 2:9

I believe He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Matthew 1:18–23 · Luke 1:34–35

I believe Jesus lived a sinless life, willingly died on the cross for our sins, and rose bodily from the grave on the third day. Hebrews 4:15 · Isaiah 53:5–6 · Romans 5:8 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

I believe that through His death and resurrection, He secured redemption and eternal life for all who believe. Ephesians 1:7 · John 3:16

I believe Jesus is the only way to the Father and that He will return again in glory to judge the living and the dead. John 14:6 · Matthew 24:30 · Acts 1:11

3

The Holy Spirit

I believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively present in the world today. John 14:16–17

I believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells those who trust in Christ, and empowers them to live in obedience to God. John 16:8 · Titus 3:5 · Acts 2:38 · Galatians 5:16–25

I believe the Spirit continually transforms believers into the likeness of Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:17–18

4

Salvation

I believe that every person is born into sin and is separated from God apart from redemption through Jesus Christ. No one can save themselves through works, effort, or moral striving. Romans 3:23 · Ephesians 2:1

I believe that God is all-powerful and sovereign over all creation. In His love and mercy, while we were still sinners, He sent His only begotten Son to redeem us and reconcile us to Himself. Psalm 115:3 · Daniel 4:35 · Romans 5:8 · John 3:16

I believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ, not by works, so that no one may boast. Through faith in His death and bodily resurrection, we are forgiven, justified, and restored to right relationship with God. Ephesians 2:8–9 · Romans 5:1 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

I believe there is no salvation apart from Jesus Christ. Those who repent and place their trust in Him receive eternal life and are adopted as children of God. Acts 4:12 · John 14:6 · John 1:12 · 2 Corinthians 5:17

5

Scripture

I believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16–17 · 2 Peter 1:20–21

I believe Scripture is sufficient for teaching, correction, training in righteousness, and guiding believers in truth.

6

The Church

I believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers. 1 Corinthians 12:12–13

I believe believers are called to gather in fellowship, prayer, worship, and the teaching of the Word. Hebrews 10:24–25 · Acts 2:42

I believe we are commanded to share the Gospel and make disciples. Matthew 28:19–20

7

The Christian Life

I believe that believers are called to walk in obedience to Jesus Christ and to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. 1 John 2:6 · Matthew 22:37–39

I believe we are called to fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of humanity. To fear God is to revere Him, honor Him, and submit to His authority. Ecclesiastes 12:13

I believe we are to hate sin because it separates us from God, while remembering that all people are made in the image of God. Therefore, we are called to extend truth with love and mercy. Romans 12:9 · Genesis 1:27 · Ephesians 4:15

I believe it is not my place to condemn others, but to examine my own heart and walk humbly before God. God alone is the righteous Judge. Matthew 7:1–5 · Micah 6:8 · James 4:12

I believe transformation is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the life of every believer, and that our lives are to be surrendered daily to the will of God. Philippians 1:6 · Romans 12:1–2

I believe we exist to glorify God in all we do. 1 Corinthians 10:31

8

The Return of Christ
& Eternity

I believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. Acts 1:11

I believe there will be a final judgment. Revelation 20:11–15

I believe in eternal life with God for those who trust in Christ. John 11:25–26
